You need not be a networking expert in having the ability to wire CAT6 cable to an RJ-45 connector. It is very easy to perform the task provided you can read a CAT6 wiring diagram and can identify color codes properly. To perform the task, you need to know that CAT6 cable is composed of 8 wires covered with PVC (polyvinyl chloride insulation and that each such insulation has a different color to it. There are two wiring standards for network cabling. T568A and T568B are the two standards for the RJ-45 or 8-position modular connector, permitted under the TIA/EIA-568-A wiring standards document. The only difference between T568A and T568B (also known as Weco, AT&T 258A) is that the orange and green wire pairs (pairs two and three) are interchanged. This means that the wiring is successful and ready to go. Press the button on the switch. The light will turn green and your LED fog lamps will light up. A Single-Pole Switch provides switching from one location only. If there are switches that support SNMP protocol, the program will be able to find and draw all connections automatically.The final step is manual drawing of connections, if the topology discovery software did not manage to do it automatically due to some reasons.
